Korean Eye, an international initiative to highlight the very best of Korean contemporary art, was launched on Saturday in London. The Korean Eye: Moon Generation exhibition which will take place June 20th – July 5th brings together a group of leading Korean contemporary artists and galleries to create the first ever international exhibition and sale of Korean contemporary art.
The exhibition takes place from June 20th - July 5th
Organisers have been delighted with the level of interest generated by the Korean Eye catalogue both in Korea and internationally and have decided to exhibit the works at both Phillips de Pury & Company's space at Howick Place and the globally renowned Saatchi Gallery in London. From June 20-28 the following artists will be shown at Phillips de Pury & Company’s London headquarters at Howick Place: Park SeungMo, Bahk SeonGhi, Park SungTae, Debbie Han, Cho Hoon, Lee Rim, Hyung Koo Kang, Sim Seung Wook, Choo JongWan and Han KiChang. On June 29, these works will join the works on display at the Phillips de Pury & Company space at the Saatchi Gallery. The exhibition will be on view through July 5.
In conjunction with the exhibition, there will be a private "Korean Banquet" at the Saatchi Gallery on the 2nd July which will be hosted by Lady Rothermere and sponsored by Visit Korea Committee, CJ, Korean Global Food Organisation and Hino Consulting. The evening, attended by a number of the Korean Eye artists, will be a celebration of Korean food and culture and with five of the top Korean chefs flying to London for the evening, it promises to be a night to remember.
